Where to stay in Valencia
Let’s get to the heart of the matter with a review of the main areas where we recommend staying in Valencia.
Ciutat Vella, staying in the historic center of Valencia
Ciutat Vella is the district that represents Valencia's old town, its historic heart. In fact, this is where you'll find a huge number of places of interest, as well as all kinds of entertainment. It's also the liveliest district. You'll find plenty of restaurants and bars in this part of Valencia that never stays awake!
If you want to discover Valencia's most famous sights, this is the ideal place to stay. You can easily get to the district's main points of interest, including :
- the square of the Mother of God, otherwise known as Plaza de la Virgen
- sainte-Marie de Valence Cathedral, a must-see!
- the central market for fresh produce in a spectacular building
- the Glorieta garden, a place to recharge your batteries in the midst of the hustle and bustle
- the Quart towers, which reveal the remains of the ancient medieval walls
The Ciutat Vella is the ideal place to stay if you want to discover a good part of the city's history, while enjoying the shopping and entertainment on offer.
As far as accommodation is concerned, you'll easily find a place to stay during your stay. However, this is not the area to go for if you want to save money. Even if prices aren't excessive, they don't suit small budgets.

Eixample is now consideredthe SoHo of New York. Renowned for its architecture, this is where you'll find Valencia's most beautiful neighborhoods. What's more, it's home to a wealth of shops, notably in Ruzafa, to the south of the area, where you can enjoy an impressive shopping zone.
This extension also boasts a massive number of restaurants, bars and cafés. It's the best place to dine in typical restaurants and other cultures, and to enjoy the nightlife.
